Stockholm Extreme started in 2010. The first edition was organised as "Polar Adventure Race" and the role model for the race is the C2 City Challenge, started by EventSeven.
Team Polarpuls, who are the organisers of Stockholm Extreme, actually raced together for the first time at the last edition of C2 City Challenge in 2007.
