The 3rd edition of Stockholm Extreme will take place in the centre of Stockholm, 10th-11th August. As one of Sweden's most prestigious races Stockholm Extreme will attract all the best teams in the fight for the title.
Stockholm Extreme is a three part race. The start is an intense race through the very heart of Stockholm. There will be a number of loops starting and ending in the same place making it easy for media and spectators to follow the race.
The second part is a more traditional style of adventure racing, although the pace is still high. The second part will start with a chasing start based on the times from the starting loops.
The third and last part takes the racers back into town from the forests and archipelago. Again there will be a number of loops where the teams return to the finish area
The teams must find and visit a number of checkpoints in a predefined order along the course. Race disciplines are running, mountain biking, kayaking, coasteering and rope work.
Divisions
The teams will be split in two divisions racing on the same course.
The Premiere division, is the main division where teams are racing for prize money. Teams in the premiere division must consist of co-ed four-person teams.
The Open division, is not eligible for prize money. Teams in the Open division are same sex teams.
